The story

How the project idea was born

Kid Im Atid creates a safe reality program by Therapeutic Theater for children,

Theater tool is an enrichment and education for social integration among children from different backgrounds. The theater is a huge tool of expression for children.

Kid Im Atid Tov together with the "city without violence" governmental project decided to start up a theater project in elementary schools.

What is the project

Children from the fifth and sixth grade selected according to pre-determined criteria, from all the schools in Ashkelon city. They get two academic hours per week of studying the art of theater, and having discussion on social issues related to them, such as: boycott, shaming, online harassment and more.

At the end of the process, the children act in a show about subjects which they worked during the year. The show is presented to all Ashkelon children in the sixth grade.

** In 2021, following the corona pandemic the project operated in a different format

In today's virtual world where most messages are conveyed on social networks, we decided to produce videos to raise awareness of all the content that children and teenagers are busy with. The project's goal is raising awareness among children and youth of risk network situations, while encouraging them to choose well, be gatekeepers among their friends, encourage mutual guarantee and do the right thing that will prevent the deterioration of their actions and thus create a safer community and reality.

The project was accepted by the 105 hotline set up by the government and is in full cooperation with them and a "city without violence" governmental project.

The project includes

Students come once a week for an hour and a half of experiential activity, learn the principles of the games and analyze social situations from the children's daily lives.

The topics they deal with are: boycott, shaming, online harassment and more … At the end of the process, the children put on a show in which they present ways of dealing with the same situations they worked on during the year. The show is presented to all Ashkelon children in the sixth grade.
