What is the project

In this project, Kid Im Atid Tov is collaborating with Atgarim Company and the local authority.

The project assimilates the idea: "a healthy mind in a healthy body" among male and female students, in the belief that "everyone can – everyone succeeds."

"Atgarkid" is a unique program for Ashkelon city that connects 2 programs that work to promote an active and healthy lifestyle while empowering children and youth in the city's educational institutions. The program was built with a connection between:

  • Kid Im Atid Tov, which has been operating for 8 years in the city's elementary schools, raises awareness and responsibility among youth for the advancement of their health and enables them to volunteer, as part of social involvement, as change agents and health promoters in their school and community. The plan is approved by the Ministry of Education (Plan No. 6594)
  • Atgarim program – an educational program adapted to elementary schools, combines a wide range of experiential and healthy challenges that are appropriate at all times. The plan is based on a holistic approach to implementing healthy change in the long run – so the healthy choice will be the easy choice. The Challenges program provides a comprehensive solution that includes workshops and comprehensive and complementary content combined with a digital and innovative system to complete the healthy experience in the home and educational environment. The plan is approved by the Ministry of Education (Plan No. 6425)

As part of the program, the youth undergo training as health promoters in their school and community. In addition, they receive training in leading the program in elementary schools. Each post-primary school will adopt one elementary school.
